Lessons Learned / Thoughts

  • This is my first high altitude hike in Taiwan, didn’t know anything so went with a group.
  • Way more expensive than it needs to be, but it’s a good initial experience into hiking in Taiwan. If you go with a local group, it might be half the price.
  • Didn’t go up any other peaks like 前鋒 西峰
  • Met two very cool people that I kept in touch afterwards! Roman and Sharon
  • Felt it in my knees on the way down, maybe trekking poles are very important.
  • Was wet from sweating at the peak, and it was quite cold, so temperature regulation needs to be better.
  • White-walled.
